March – April

This is the time when the flowers are in full bloom making it a picturesque place. The high white peaks make an ideal background to the flora in its full bloom. It is the perfect time to enjoy outdoor activities like trekking, river rafting, paragliding and other mountain adventures.

May - June

This is the Peak tourist season due to hot weather in other parts of India and a soothing cool climate here. School vacations also fall during these days and therefore this is an ideal time for families to enjoy their leisure. Adventure activities like trekking, hiking, paragliding, mountain sports, river rafting, zorbing etc. are all at their full swing during this period. The Hadimba Devi Temple also hosts its annual Festival in the month of May.

Apple crop also become ready in July, so the air has a typical aroma and freshness. Tourists who love to indulge in leisure and just wish to take rest typically love to be here during these days. In fact this is the best time for couples to enjoy here as apple aroma, clouds, thunders and rain creates a romantic backdrop to set the mood. The only reason that sometimes deters tourists to visit Kullu-Manali during this period is the fear of landslides on the National Highway stretch falling in Bilaspur and Mnadit districts of Himachal Pradesh.

Traffic: Traffic intensity will be high around Duseehra festival due to holidays and International Dussehra Festival in Kullu.
